What part of the chicken comes in a ring??

The answer: THE BEST PART!

Well I guess I should explain my love for chicken rings. It all started in High School (where most great things do he he) . There was a certain menu item that EVERYONE went nuts for ... Just so you know it wasn't just me! Well a couple of years after I graduated I found out that they stopped serving Chicken Rings, well kinda. They still served "Chicken Rings" but they were fakes! They were just chicken tenders named Chicken Rings in order to invoke false hope in the hearts of the students.

Well, for the months of April and May I substituted for the school district I went to. Which I loved... well on a particular day I was subbing for a First Grade class.Part of my duties were to walk the kids down to the cafeteria for lunch. Now when I took the lunch count I noticed that Chicken Rings were on the menu. I thought these poor children were being fooled into thinking they had Chicken Rings too. Well when I walked them done there... guess what.. there were chicken rings! I was so excited and of course had to get them. I took them back to the room so I could enjoy them all to myself. And I did! But of course I had to take some pictures.

So just in case you were wondering.. it does get better. The best part about chicken rings is how dip-able they are.

They are excellent in ketchup BUT even better in mashed potatoes. As a matter of fact when you dip them in mashed potatoes (with no gravy on them) they turn into something completely different. They start to taste like popcorn!! Let me break this down for you.

POPCORN!

Weird, I know.. but amazing! So the best part of the day was this. On my way home from the school I called my best friend Shelly. This is how the conversation went:

Me: Today was such a good day
Shelly: Why?
Me: I had chicken rings today!
Shelly: Oh it was a good day!

And that's why we are best friends! hehe

Penny LOVES helping with laundry.

This was sooo funny to me. Penny had spent the morning playing outside on this BEAUTIFUL day and then I brought out the basket of clothes and Penny plopped right in. She loves it when she has something warm to lay on; us, warm clothes, or even a cornbag ( I know, she's spoiled). Every time I folded something new, even if it was small, she jumped right on top and closed her eyes. It was just soooo cute. She loved having all the extra pillows on the couch for the day.

Why I lucked out with my sister-in-law

So my brother is married, and at first the whole Kyle's getting married to someone i don't even know thing freaked me out. He had proposed before any of us had even met her... What if I hated her? There was a small possibility of that too since I sometimes have a hard time getting along with people... And I must admit... that first meet and greet was a little bit hard.... Here was this girl I had never met... hanging all over my brother... sleeping in our house.... and intending to spend the rest of her life as a member of our family... but in the back of my mind I always knew it would be okay... Kyle's a smart kid, he's not gonna pick a bad wife... but it was still a bit unsettling .... needless to say I got over it and now hold her in the highest regard.

My favorite thing about Michelle... well one of... is that she indulges me with my love of American Idol and
Dancing with the Stars... (p.s... I think Mel B should have won last year) ... she watched the shows with us for only ONE WEEK and she knows all their names and stories...i love that we can talk about that.... so now I call her every week with her daily dose of worldliness he he .... but that just makes me happy that she took such a strong interest in it... even tho Kyle thinks we ruined her... but the damage can't be that bad... they don't even have a TV for her to watch it on... so instead of wasting hours a week watching the performance shows and the results show..she just spends ONE hours talking to me about it he he

Honestly, she's a gem. Kyle knows how to pick 'em. I don't believe in soul mates or a "perfect" match.... but they come pretty darn close to it. The just fit ya know... so much that I don't have a problem at all making fun and teasing her just like I do to Kyle. But here's the thing.. she may not know I'm kidding all the time...Kyle has had the chance of getting to know me for the past 23 years and know my sense of humor... but she doesn't... but here's the other thing... she acts like it's fine... which is good.... but deep down I hope she knows how lucky I feel to have her as my sister-in-law... she makes Kyle so happy and in turn makes us really happy... I hope she knows that!

Baby Bleu

I cannot stop listening to this song on youtube... it's amazing, it's called baby blue by Danny Malone. It reminds me so much of high school, the guy in it looks like my friend, it reminds me of the rocket summer who i loved in high school and still love today... and i was and am still obsessed with the color baby blue. anyway i thought if anyone should know anything me it's that i love music and it can change my mood for better or worse at any moment. Whenever i hear this song i am happy.
